A lovely holiday cottage in historic Deal, Kent's best-kept secret. Smugglers' Cottage in Dolphin Street is a cosy, 250 year old, Grade II listed cottage in the heart of the conservation area and only metres from the sea. It has been sympathetically modernised, but retains original features such as lovely exposed brick fireplaces. It has one double and one twin bedoom, sleeping up to 4.
It is ideal for a getaway for walkers, golfers, cyclists or anyone looking for relaxation. It is situated a leisurely ten minutes walk from the local high street, with its charming independent shops as well as well known 'chain' shops. Three golf courses are nearby as well as the castles at Deal, Walmer and Dover. There is also sea fishing, a coastal cycle path and wonderful local walks. The famous White Cliffs of Dover and the Victorian South Foreland lighthouse are must-visits too. The ancient town of Canterbury with its fabulous cathedral and wide range of shops is also not far away by car, train or bus.
Due to its original winding stairs, it is not suitable for children under 12 or those with mobility limitations
